About Us

The office of the Telecommunications and Radiocommunications Regulator ("TRR") was established under the Telecommunications and Radiocommunications Regulation Act No. 30 of 2009 ("the Act"). The general functions and powers of TRR are defined in Section 7 of the Act. It was set as a separate and independent regulatory body to regulate the telecommunications sector of Vanuatu. Section 7(5) of the Act states that the Regulator is set to have a separate and independent legal personality and may, by and under the name "Telecommunications and Radiocommunications Regulator."
