Role

TRBR is seeking an Office Manager to fill in the role at our Santo Branch. The Office Manager will play a key and important role in supporting and managing the office and daily administrative Operations and related responsibilities, and in accordance with the Telecommunications, Radiocommunications and Broadcasting Regulation Act 2009 as Amended by Amendment No. 22 of 2018 (the Act).

The role includes:

  1. Understanding of the Vision, Mission, and Values of TRBR;
  2. Performing Reception, Administration and Office Management duties;
  3. Internal Accounting and Budget Administration including management of Petty Cash;
  4. Receiving Customer Complaints and direct them to relevant TRBR team for response;
  5. Organize and supervise other office activities (Facilities service, maintenance activities, events planning etc);
  6. Ensure operations adhere to TRBR Policies, Regulations and TRBR Act;
  7. Establish and maintain effective access to regulatory information’s and Conducting awareness in Luganville and nearby Villages;
  8. Keep abreast with all organisational changes and business developments;
  9. Provide support and assist other units within TRBR as required.

In particular, the Office Manager will be working closely with the Corporate Team. The Office Manager must work cooperatively with industry, consumers, and TRBR’s key stakeholders including the Government including working closely with other TRBR team members across all units; including Market Monitoring, Competition and Legal, Technical and UAP, Consumer Affairs and Internet Governance and the Regulator.

Required Experience and Qualifications

The applicant should have the following combination of qualifications and experience:

  • A certificate or Diploma in office management and/or administration
  • General office experience, familiar with office processes such as filing, banking and administrative work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Good Leadership skills and ability to work within team/individual environment to deliver quality work within time frames;
  • A good understanding of Telecommunications technologies and ICT in Vanuatu;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. A good working knowledge of French and Bislama in addition is ideal;
  • Excellent computing skills and proficient of office computer systems including Microsoft Office applications.
